  • Click "Browse Topics" in the top left.
  • Click a topic you like to see a list of related articles.
  • Focus on audio, news, and magazines for information on recent studies.
  • Read reference for general background.

Topic Shopping in Today's Science:

Tip #1

  • Click "Topic Index" in the top right.
  • Click a topic you like to see a list of related articles.
  • Once on the list of articles, notice there is a list of related topics to the right that may be of interest.
  • These articles describe recent research done by scientists in easy-to-understand language.
  • Pay special attention to the end of the articles
    • They explain further research that could be done in the area
    • There are discussion questions that could help you develop your own driving question.
    • There is a link to the original study under "Journal Abstracts and Articles." (This will come in handy later...If you like an article, I would also save the original study to my Scrible)
    • There is a bibliography for further reading.  Find these sources and save them if you like the article.
    • There is a list of helpful keywords you can add to your keyword brainstorm.
  • Pay attention to related content to the right for more articles.
